There are plenty of fun activities for families and friends to celebrate at the Madison Night Market, which is back and bigger than ever before. This year vendors are spread out all along State Street, but there’s another twist.

“It’s important to see that we’re here still cause I think when you think about Native Americans and thinking about indigenous people, it’s always like historic. We’re resilient people.”

Gordon Greene says he came all the way from Iowa County to meet Cloud. He also wants to keep Native American stories alive.

“How do I help these stories become more known in a way that’s appropriate? They’re not my stories, and yet, to me they’re important stories.”

Madison resident Alyssa Tesar is also excited that the whole community can experience Ho-Chunk culture from Cloud.

“I have a lot of gratitude for that. It’s going to make me cry.”
